With the Rosenberg Travel Grant, I was able to undertake German language study in Vienna, Austria, central to my readings of original texts in my senior thesis in .
In addition, the grant enabled me to pursue independent research on Freud and the history of psychoanalysis, by visiting a number of sites in Vienna. My program also included class-trips to Semmering, Austria, where we toured the home of the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein and to Budapest, Hungary, where we attended a lecture at the home of the Hungarian psychoanalyst Sándor Ferenczi.
I’m grateful that the Rosenberg Travel Grant provided me with such an enriching and memorable experience.
